The neighborhood is excellent for exploring Paris. We had a rental car and parked at a lot about 2 blocks away which was super convenient. There are Metro stops and bus stops a few blocks away. Moulin Rouge is within easy walking distance. There are many good restaurants close to the hotel. If you go around the corner to the back of the hotel there is a square with at least 6! We ate at two of them and the meals were excellent. Also several grocery stores quite close for drinks or snacks. We had a little issue with the room being not exactly what I had expected but the front desk made it right and moved us into a room with the fancy fireplace. As a bonus the shower was larger too (first room was small-no fireplace- had a broken parquet tile that could have been a hazard -and had no fireplace as advertised)! I know I was being picky about the fireplace since it was purely for decorative purposes but it was my birthday and I had a picture in my mind of a bday in Paris! Thanks to the front desk for making this happen Breakfast was good. There were a lot of options and the price for breakfast was fair. Hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. There was lots of space for clothing such as shelf’s hangers desk.

the rooms have a classy vibe.most have a marble fireplace and huge framed mirror beds are comfy with tufted headboards and an accent wall behind the bed with wallpaper. theres tv and a hotpot in the room. I requested a preference for a bathtub and got a huge room with a huge tub and plenty hot water. toilets are in seperate area from tubs and shower. I had a problem with an airbnb rental which I had booked so I booked the hotel for another night and was given a good rate by Ramya and he tried several times to contact my host. The next day Ziame spent a solid hour helping me contact airbnb and eventually spoke to my host and problem was straightened out and I would never have been able to accomplish this without his help . I do not speak French. He was my very patient go between. My problem had nothing to do with the Exselsior hotel and it was very kind of him to provide such assistance. I would definitely come back for a repeat stay here. also location is good on a quiet street a block from Batignolles and a few blocks from lively Place de Clichy.

Location was great, a few steps away from Place de Clichy, a lot of boulangeries and restaurants around. A lot of supermarkets and fast food options in the area as well. The room was great, big and extra clean. The lady was vacuuming every day, it was impeccable. Staff was helpful if you had a question however the hotel door was closed for us to get in and out for like a day and a half, probably there were problems with some guests but we found that odd and we got no explanation. I would have loved some transparency since we were basically depending on them to get inside or outside.

Hotel is very well located, very good part of Paris, not so much turistic, with reasonable prices in restaurants close to the hotel. But if visitors want to be in more touristic area - for example Moulin Rouge is very close (less than 10 minutes) nice walk from hotel. I believe that Batignoles is one of the best location in Paris, safe, not crowded, restaurant with local people, hotel is approximatelly three minute walk from metro station.

Fantastic staff. So friendly and went beyond to make me comfortable during my stay. I can't eat gluten and the staff organised gluten free breakfast (which unfortunately I couldn't get to enjoy due to early starts at work) They also ok'ed a late check out, which allowed me to have a very needed quick shower (I finished work at 10 am since 8 pm the day before), and organised my luggages without the extra rush. It really was a saver.
